Campminder's standard medical reports cover common needs, but the Medical Reporter is for everything else. Need a list of campers with dietary restrictions for the kitchen? Immunization records sorted by session? A custom health summary for your medical director? Build it here.
The Medical Reporter lets you define your own population, pick any fields from the health record, and save the setup so you don't have to start from scratch next time.
What you'll learn:
Set selection criteria to define who appears in the report
Choose and arrange fields using the Field Sort tab
Configure display options and save the report for future use

Selection Criteria Tab
Navigate to Medical > Medical Reporter. Any previously saved criteria presets will appear on this first screen for easy reuse.
Click New Report in the upper right.
On the Selection Criteria tab, choose whether you're reporting on Campers or Staff — one group per report.
Narrow your population using Session, Program Day, and Person Status filters.
📋 Note: Session Status is a required field.
For more targeted filtering, click the Dictionary link under Additional Filter Criteria to access any field in the health record.

To reuse this filter set, click Save Current Criteria as Preset — save it for yourself or make it available to all users.
Fields/Sort Tab
Switch to the Fields/Sort tab.
In the left box, select the fields you want in your report — double-click a field or use the arrows to add it.
💡 Tip: Use the Search function in the field dropdown to find specific fields quickly.
In the center box, arrange the fields that will appear as columns across the report.

In the right box, set how rows are sorted — for example, alphabetically by last name or by bunk.
💡 Tip: Sorting by bunk or session makes the report easier to hand off to other departments.
Click Save Current Field Set as Preset to save this field layout for future reports.
Options/Finish tab
Switch to the Options/Finish tab.
Add a Title and choose whether to number rows.
Set page or line breaks for specific fields — for example, a page break between bunks or genders.
Optionally check Hide Duplicate Data for a cleaner layout.
Click the green Generate Report button.
In the popup, review, print, or export the report.
To save the full report setup, click Save in the popup — give it a name, choose private or shared, and assign a folder if needed.
After closing the popup, you return to the report builder where you can adjust filters or fields and rerun without starting over.
📋 Note: All saved reports are accessible from the dropdown in the upper right corner of the Medical Reporter screen.
🎯 Try it now: Go to Medical > Medical Reporter, click New Report, and build a simple report for campers in the current session — add at least 3 fields, sort by last name, and generate it. Come back when you've seen the output.
Before you move on, check yourself:
Do you know the three tabs and what each one controls — who, what, and how?
Can you save a filter preset and a field preset separately for reuse?
Do you know where to find saved reports the next time you return to the Medical Reporter?
