Campanion Subscriptions: Control Which Parents Have App Access

By the end of this article, you'll be able to set the correct permissions, add or revoke Campanion subscriptions for parents, and use the Subscription Management page to keep your access list up to date.

The Subscription Management page gives you direct control over which parents can access Campanion each season. When a camper is enrolled, parents in both the primary and alternate households are automatically subscribed β€” but you can adjust access at any time.

Set Up User Group Permissions

Before you can manage subscriptions, make sure the correct User Group permissions are in place.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Logins and Permissions > User Groups.

  2. Select the User Group you want to grant access to.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the list to the Unified Person Record section.

  4. Find the Campanion Subscription line and set it to View or Edit depending on the level of access needed.

  5. Click Save.

πŸ“‹ Note: Grant Edit access to anyone who needs to add or revoke subscriptions. View access allows them to see subscription status only.


🎯 Try it now: Go to Admin > Logins and Permissions > User Groups and confirm the right groups have Campanion Subscription access. Come back when it's saved.


Add or Revoke Subscriptions

When a camper is enrolled, all parents in the primary and (if applicable) alternate households automatically get a subscription to Campanion.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Logins and Permissions > Campanion Subscriptions.

  2. Use the filter options at the top of the page to toggle between seasons and search for a specific camper.

  3. Click the green Apply Filter button to update the list.

  4. To add a subscription, check the box to the left of a camper's name β€” or click the All button at the top of the column to add subscriptions in bulk.

  5. Click Save Changes, then Confirm to apply.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Click Reset All Filters to Default at any time to return to the full default list.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Use the Camper column to verify which parents should receive a

subscription. A green check mark indicates the Campanion additional options charge has been added to the family ledger (for camps on a Parent-Pay model).
